Celebrating World Environment Day at School

Every year on June 5th, people all over the world come together to celebrate World Environment Day — a day dedicated to raising awareness and taking action to protect our planet. This year, our school joined the global movement with the theme: “One Day for the Earth, Every Day for the Future.”

๐Ÿงน A Day of Action

Our school campus was buzzing with green energy as students, teachers, and staff took part in various eco-friendly activities:

  • Tree Planting Drive ๐ŸŒณ
Students from Grades 6 to 10 planted over 50 saplings in the school garden, creating a “Future Forest” that will grow along with us.

  • Clean-Up Walk ๐Ÿ—‘️
Equipped with gloves and biodegradable bags, students cleaned up the school surroundings, learning the value of keeping our environment litter-free.

  • Eco-Poster Making ๐ŸŽจ
Creative minds came alive as students designed powerful posters on climate change, wildlife conservation, and water protection.

  • Green Pledge Ceremony
All students took a pledge to reduce plastic use, save water, plant more trees, and be mindful of their daily habits that affect the environment.

๐ŸŒŽ Why It Matters

While World Environment Day is just one day, the lessons we learn from it should last a lifetime. From the air we breathe to the food we eat, everything depends on a healthy planet. By understanding our role and making small changes, we can help protect nature for future generations.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Voices from the Day

“I didn’t realize how many plastic wrappers we throw away in a single lunch break. From now on, I’ll bring reusable containers.”
— Ananya, Grade 7

“Planting a tree made me feel like I was doing something real for the Earth. I can’t wait to see it grow!”
— Rohan, Grade 9

✅ What Can You Do Every Day?

Here are some simple actions students can take all year long:

  • Carry a reusable water bottle and lunchbox

  • Turn off lights and fans when not in use

  • Walk or cycle short distances instead of taking a vehicle

  • Plant a tree every year

  • Speak up about environmental issues in your community

๐ŸŒŸ Final Thought

One day of awareness is just the beginning. The Earth gives us everything — it’s time we start giving back. Let’s not wait for a special day to care for our planet. Let’s make every day an Environment Day.

Together, we can grow greener, live cleaner, and build a better world — one step at a time. ๐ŸŒฟ

Future Life Skill Webinar: Unlocking the Tools for a Brighter Tomorrow

In a world that’s changing faster than ever, education is no longer just about textbooks and exams — it’s about life skills. On June 8, 2025, our school hosted an exciting and interactive Future Life Skill Webinar attended by students from Grades 8 to 12. The goal? To empower young minds with the essential skills they’ll need to succeed in the real world.

๐Ÿง  What Are “Future Life Skills”?

Life skills are abilities that help us handle life’s challenges — both personal and professional. These include:

  • Critical thinking

  • Problem-solving

  • Communication and collaboration

  • Time management

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Adaptability and resilience

  • Digital literacy

As workplaces and communities evolve, these skills are becoming just as important as academic knowledge — if not more.

๐Ÿ—ฃ️ Highlights of the Webinar

The session was led by Ms. Ananya Mehta, a certified life coach and youth mentor with over a decade of experience. Key takeaways from the webinar included:

  • ๐Ÿ” “Think Before You React”
A practical lesson in emotional intelligence and decision-making.

  • ๐Ÿ“ฑ “Managing Your Digital Life”
Tips on healthy screen time, online etiquette, and building a positive digital footprint.

  • “Time Is Your Superpower”
Simple but powerful strategies for managing time, staying organized, and setting priorities.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ “Speak Up, Speak Well”
Communication exercises that helped students practice public speaking and active listening.

Students also participated in breakout rooms, mini-quizzes, and real-life scenario discussions. It was more than just a webinar — it was a training ground for life.

๐Ÿ’ก What Students Said

“This was so different from our regular classes. I learned how to stay calm when I’m stressed — and how to actually plan my time!”
— Rishika, Grade 10

“The part about managing emotions really helped. I’ve already started using the breathing technique we learned.”
— Aarav, Grade 8

๐ŸŒŸ Why It Matters

The world of the future will reward people who can adapt, collaborate, and lead — not just memorize information. Through events like this webinar, students gain real-world insights and develop the confidence to face the future head-on.

✅ What’s Next?

  • More Webinars Coming Soon!
Stay tuned for sessions on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness.

  • Join the Life Skills Club
A new initiative where students can practice these skills through group activities, debates, and community projects.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Final Thought

Life doesn’t come with a manual — but life skills give us the tools to write our own story. If we want to build a strong, successful, and self-aware generation, teaching life skills isn’t optional — it’s essential.

Finding Inspiration For creative writing

Let’s be honest. Waiting for a notion to strike is like waiting for tea to boil without turning on the range. Writers frequently consider a paranormal moment whilst ideas arrive absolutely shaped, wrapped in brilliance.

Debate as a Tool for Critical Thinking

In a culture that rewards rapid takes and louder voices, debate offers something clean. It forces the pause. It needs structure, persistence, and readability. You can't just say something as it sounds smart
